Tamako Market - Music Café

In several episodes of Tamako Market we see Tamako visiting a record store / café along the Demachi Masugata Shopping Street. The original place has closed down, but I checked out the current place this time.

They no longer sell records here, but you can still get coffee and even something to eat.

The whole place is quite small.

Tamako usually sits in one of these chairs around the corner.

Tamako's father sitting here in one episode as well.

View towards the kitchen area.

I tried the daily special, cooked Dera chicken.

There were also guestbooks here.

Lots of neat Tamako Market drawings.

At the shopping street they still had Tamako Market decorations up as well.

Tamako Market poster, shikishi signature boards and other signed items.

Tamako Market t-shirts for sale.

The big fish hanging from the roof again, as shown in the anime.

Shopping street floor tile which was also shown in The Eccentric Family.

The guestbooks were moved back to the bench where I saw them the first time I visited.

Lots of people had signed of course.

Including a certain Michael Vito, which I had met in Tokyo before when we checked out Your Name locations together.

I signed it again as well.

Right next to the bench is the end of the shopping street which was in the show. You can see that the Tamako tobidashi figure was still here as well.

And one of Choi.

At this end of the shopping street is also this location where Choi says goodbye in the last episode. I've marked a path from the café to the shop on the left here in the map below.

I also checked out the nearby Kamogawa delta, which was also seen in The Eccentric Family and K-On.

This is where Dera works out...

And also projects images onto Kamo Ohashi Bridge.
